For our family, we have enjoyed and learned from the active role in our children's education that homeschooling provides.  Even with our enrollment in a charter hybrid school, we get to teach, learn, and listen to what our kids are studying.  That active participation carries over from not only study and school time, but is well integrated into our activities, dinner conversations, hobbies, and even YouTube video choices! We have found that it truly does create quality integrated family time.  Baking a cake does count as math, reading, science and even art!!
