Zeeff Family- What I love most about homeschooling...

I didn’t think I would like or be able to homeschool.

Boy has my opinion changed... who better than a mom wants to see her kids well educated and instilled with certain values?

Homeschooling has given me a time and space to daily teach my kids about God and values.

I also love how close it has made me to our kids. I am literally sharing most of their aha moments and get to witness them. I truly enjoy watching them make connections and learn everything.

On a personal level, it has forced me to grow in patience and understanding of each kid. I can’t be angry with them or I need to work through it more quickly if I am to also be their teacher and role model. Homeschooling has built up my stamina as a mom.

I love the flexibility too to be able to go on trips and homeschool on the road. We aren’t locked into a strict calendar.

OLMC provides a social network for my kids.

I don’t really have any qualms about homeschooling. I do know it’s not for everyone and one mom told me if it ever gets in the way of your relationship with your kids ( like your relationship is becoming strained because you just aren’t jiving as teacher/disciplinary and Mom all at the same time.) then it’s ok to stop homeschooling .

But do give yourself an opportunity to try it and try to grow in virtue before putting it aside.
